LIFE WITH GOD

In Life with God, I have conversations with students and expert guests, studying God from the perspective of predicate nouns in order to understand the ideal manifestation of key ideas. The approach to topics reflects two basic assumptions: (1) the Judeo-Christian and biblical view that God is the first and ultimate reality, and (2) a biblically reframed view of Ideas as standards of excellence rooted in God. By rooting key ideas in God, we both deepen our knowledge of him and reframe our understanding of the concepts, with immediate, lasting, and practical relevance. The series has 7 seasons: 1 - Love, 2 - Presence, 3 - Power, 4 - Beauty, 5 - Freedom, 6- Justice, and 7 - Truth.

Within each season we follow an itinerary that takes us from general revelation to the biblical view to the application. In episodes 1-3, we explore the understanding of the concept diachronically and synchronically in the history of human thought, history of religion, culture, and family life. In episodes 4-9, we explore the concept as manifested in God from the perspective of special revelation (Jesus and Scripture). Episodes 10-12 conclude the season with three conversations centered on applications in key relational contexts: family, community, and leadership.

Throughout the seasons, we rely on expertise in a variety of areas, including Philosophy, Church History, Historical Theology, Archaeology, Psychology, Anthropology, the Old Testament, the New Testament, Christian Ministry, Practical Theology, Leadership, Sciences, Chaplaincy, Education, and Arts.
