Light is not visible in any other way than by making something visible.

About Me

I am Adelina, and I am currently finishing a PhD in Theology at Andrews Theological Seminary in Michigan and starting a PhD in Philosophy at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. As you can tell, I love being in school. In fact, I have been in school for most of my life, pursuing knowledge, especially knowledge of God. My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Law, a BA in Theology-Social Work, a Master of Divinity, a yearlong hospital chaplaincy residency, and a PhD in Theology and Christian Philosophy, where I studied the relationship between divinity, temporality, and hermeneutics. From 2024, I will also be pursuing a PhD in Philosophy with a research project entitled “The Relation Between Continuity and Change in Classical, Process, Open, and Temporal Theism and its Implications Upon Essence and Identity.” The varied perspectives shaped by my interdisciplinary background inform the way I see everything.

Presently, I am co-writing a series of volumes on biblical interpretation where we give a descriptive and analytical chronological account of biblical hermeneutics starting with the first century until the contemporary era. I am a creative and strategic thinker and I value originality, courage, conversation, hospitality, and a holistic approach to things. My confidence in God has grown with every new step in life, deepening my sense of gratitude to him. I cherish the beauty of nature and various art forms, especially painting and architecture.

Feel free to browse through my webpage, where you will find more about my background, seminars I offer, podcasts, and articles. If you would like to request a seminar, please use the form on the contact page. I currently live in the Netherlands.
